The High Priestess tarot card meaning

intuition · mystery · inner knowing

Major Arcana

Upright meaning

The answer is inward, not outward. Wait, dream on it, and trust the quiet voice.

Reversed meaning

Ignoring your gut, secrets kept too long, or being cut off from your intuition.

Symbolism

The veil between the pillars hides what is not yet ready to be seen. The moon at her feet rules tides and feeling.
